Missouri River Runner

A trip from Kansas City to St. Louis on Amtrak’s Missouri River Runner offered a distinct and alternative travel experience to the towns along the route. Rather than approaching from the Interstate and passing through the familiar layers of development to reach the community center, alighting from the historic railroad station places the traveler directly in the middle of the walkable, pedestrian-scaled historic downtown. Natural scenery, historic towns, and on-board wi-fi make the train a civilized and nostalgic way to travel.
