Ogee Lofts

The Ogee Lofts project utilized federal and state historic tax credits to transform the former furniture store into the Ogee Lofts with twenty-five living spaces. Designers worked with the existing structural columns and designed floorplans to integrate the exposed elements. The finished spaces retain the open volume feel and ceiling height with exposed beams. Added soundproofing between floors accommodates the new residential use.

Creative solutions added daylighting and outdoor space for the residents. New windows punched in the north wall were sympathetic to the fenestration pattern on other secondary elevations. A site line study ensured that a new rooftop deck space was carefully concealed behind the parapet. The completed project adds downtown living space and density while reusing a significant building in the Warehouse District.
